Step # formula

Double a number and then subtract by the step number to get the original number plus one.

Step #: (Step # + 1) x 2 - Step # = (Step # + 2)

Step 0: 1 x 2 - 0 = 2

Step 1: 2 x 2 - 1 = 3

Step 2: 3 x 2 - 2 = 4

Step 3: 4 x 2 - 3 = 5

Step 4: 5 x 2 - 4 = 6

Step 5: 6 x 2 - 5 = 7

Step 6: 7 x 2 - 6 = 8

Step 7: 8 x 2 - 7 = 9

Step 8: 9 x 2 - 8 = 10

Step 9: 10 x 2 - 9 = 11

And so on...
